How Rossini lived in one of his Palazzi - selling of inventory On July 2, 1853, Rossini had purchased three adjacent buildings in Florence that had once belonged to the Medici family. They were "the Palazzo Pucci, an adjoining 'pallazino', both in Via Largo, and a house in Via dei Ginori behind them." (Weinstock, Rossini p. 282). In 1857 Rossini lived in Paris, felt very much at home there, and set up his house there on Rue Basse-du-Rempart. It is obvious that he therefore had little interest in his houses in Florence and therefore was willing to sell his furniture there. The present 3 documents refer to one of his houses in Via Larga (today Via Cavour). The first document signed by Rossini includes an undated listing and valuation of 168 furnishings, such as tables chairs, cabinets, vases, carpets, clocks, candlesticks, dishes, china, etc. with a totaled value of 9,057 Lira. The second list includes a listing created in August 1857 with valuations by Giuseppe Pagani with a total of 9,701 Liras and the third document is a summary of the proceeds from the sale of the furniture for 8,695 Liras, dated 30.9.1857. It is interesting to note Rossini's preference for Pleyel grand pianos, as one is in the listing under No. 85 for 1066 Lira, and there was also a Pleyel grand piano in the grand salon of the premises Rossini rented in Paris (Weinstock, Rossini p. 302). Es waren "der Palazzo Pucci, ein sich anschließender 'pallazino', beide in der Via Largo und ein Haus in der Via dei Ginori hinter ihnen." (Weinstock, Rossini S. 282). 1857 lebte Rossini in Paris, fühlte sich dort sehr wohl und richtete dort sein Haus in der Rue Basse-du-Rempart ein. Es ist naheliegend, dass er daher kaum noch ein Interesse für seine Häuser in Florenz hatte und sich daher von Mobiliar trennte. Die vorliegenden 3 Dokumente beziehen sich auf eines seiner Häuser in der Via Larga (heute Via Cavour). Das erste von Rossini unterschriebene Dokument umfasst eine nicht datierte Auflistung und Wertermittlung von 168 Einrichtungsgegenständen, wie Tische Stühle, Schränke, Vasen, Teppiche, Uhren, Kerzenständer, Geschirr, Prozellan etc. mit einem summierten Wert von 9.057 Lira. Die zweite Liste umfasst eine Auflistung erstellt im August 1857 mit Wertschätzungen von Giuseppe Pagani mit einer Summe von 9.701 Lira und das dritte Dokument ist eine Zusammenfassung der Erlöse aus dem Verkauf des Mobilars für 8.695 Lira, datiert 30.9.1857. Interessant ist die Vorliebe von Rossini für Pleyel-Flügel, da sich ein solcher in der Auflistung unter Nr. 85 für 1066 Lira befindet und sich auch eine Pleyel-Flügel im großen Salon der in Paris von Rossini angemieteten Räumlichkeiten befand (Weinstock, Rossini S. 302).
