IMPORTANT MANUSCRIPT OF UNPUBLISHED CHORAL WORK. Very nice music manuscript of the complete voice of the second tenor from the "Introduction (Choeur et Couplets)" of the choral work "L'hotellerie de la Reine". The text begins, "Dans cette belle hotellerie" (from here the notes continue in Gounod's handwriting but the text below continues in another hand) "le vin d'espagne est vraiment bon..." The unpublished choral work (CG 225), of which a 40-page manuscript is known, was probably composed in 1848/1849 to an anonymous French text, "Dans cette belle hôtellerie le vin d'Espagne est vraiment bon, oui! et l'on y trouve, oui l'on y trouve au gré de son envie."
